The Role

You will be the sole designer working directly with the founders and three fullstack engineers to create a category defining product that impacts millions of people’s lives.

A pivotal role for the company, you have the energy, confidence and ability to bring ideas to life and shape not only our product and brand but also how we work as a team and the standards we hold ourselves to.

You will lead the design of features from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality execution at every stage. Working with the rest of the team as part of a single, cohesive unit you will identify problems and use a proactive, collaborative mindset to figure out solutions, communicate them effectively and get them shipped. Working truly end-to-end, you will be judged by what ends up in the hands of our users, not what’s in Figma.

You should apply if…

• You make beautiful, functional products. You know what ‘good design’ is and have at least 7 years of experience building web and mobile products that work intuitively and feel amazing. You apply deep knowledge of design principles, processes and tools to rapidly conceptualise and iterate on features while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• You really care about the work. Focus on the outcome. Collaborate openly, agonise over the details, go back to the drawing board, confront difficult conversations, give and receive critical feedback with an open, constructive mindset - do what it takes to build the best thing possible.
• You have taste and are decisive. Speed will be critical to our success so you must be decisive and use your judgement to balance the trade-offs that come with moving quickly.
• You are a brilliant communicator. Whether it is digging for information or presenting your ideas to the team, your verbal and written communication is excellent.
• You advocate for the user. Stay user-focused by continuously engaging with user pain points, needs, and aspirations, using research insights to inform and justify design decisions.
• You are focused on outcomes and objectives. You enjoy working in a team driving towards the same goal. You are able to think strategically, allocate resources effectively and execute swiftly to hit targets.
